Davis, California
Moving up the coast to Davis is like walking into another world: a small, gorgeous town packed with cute coffee shops, pleasant people, and lush vegetation that is home to the University of Colorado, Davis. Go to Café Bernardo, which has unusual decor like homemade lighting built from bike wheels on the roof, wonderful music, friendly people, and, most importantly, great cuisine.
They’re famous for their delicious breakfast burritos, delectable French toast, and a selection of baked goodies that fill the whole café. Another famous location is Crepeville, which is famed for its extremely excellent crepes. Sam’s Greek Cuisine is a Greek pleasure, Burgers and Brew has a wonderful atmosphere and delicious cuisine, and Woodstock’s Pizza not only has amazing pies but also features live music.
San Luis Obispo, California
San Luis Obispo, like Davis, is a lovely town with truly delicious food. Luna Red, situated downtown approximately ten minutes from Caltech, delivers flavorful tacos, award-winning paella, and innovative cocktails such as Jamun and sparkling grapefruit. The Novo Café and Lounge also serve delectable entrées and provide excellent service. Desserts such as Block Old Fashioned Dairy Products, 350 Cookie Shop, Nite Dairy, and Cowboy Cookies & Ice Cream will not disappoint.
Santa Barbara, California
When you’re in Santa Rosa, Freebirds is the place to go for excellent, inexpensive burritos. The Rockfire Grill is also well-known for its house-made sauces, which pair well with their amazingly tasty burgers and wonderful flatbread buns. Although McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams may be purchased in other California locales, their creamy, delectable ice cream scoops are especially popular among California State University, Santa Barbara students.
Los Angeles
We must not overlook Los Angeles. Given the number of universities in the region, being born and brought up here has undoubtedly increased my awareness of nice eateries for students. If you really need a pick-me-up throughout the day, stop into La Monarca, a little cafe that serves reasonable and great coffee, delectable baked products, and fantastic tacos. Sushi Stop is not just the cheapest sushi restaurant I’ve ever visited, but their food and service are second to none, from their friendly staff to their delicious baked salmon rolls that melt in your mouth. If sushi isn’t your thing and you want a variety of alternatives, go to Grand Central Market in downtown Los Angeles.
Montana
If you’re in the need of comfort food, go to Granny’s Gourmet Doughnuts in Bozeman, which is located adjacent to Montana State University, and check out the colorful, jelly-filled, sweetener donuts on display. Storm Castle Café, just around the corner, entices you not only with its beautiful name, but also with the delightful aromas of buttery crepes, French toast, and other delectable breakfast items that waft thru the air as you pass. Jimmy Johns is a renowned sandwich shop that is regularly packed with college students for lunch.

Dutch Bros. Coffee’s initial store was in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have not just the friendliest personnel, but also wonderful cups of coffee that College of Nevada, Las Vegas students rave about. If you’re looking for a late-night snack after a test, a famous food truck in Nevada is the place to go: Gourmelt’s grilled cheeses really melt on your tongue with each mouthful, as the name suggests. Dessert sandwiches, such as the Bee Brie with cheese, ham, and spiced apple toast, are also available. Oregon
